The NTMGL website gives any visitor — registered or not — a real feel for the league: live standings, the full match schedule, individual player stats, the rulebook, and the story behind why this league exists. You can explore quite a bit before you ever click Register.
This is the first episode in a new series called The Player's Guide. While the dev blog has covered the technical and business story of building the NTMGL, this series focuses on the player experience — how to find a league, how to sign up, how to use the platform on match day, and how to get the most out of every round. No code. No financial models. Just everything you need to know to play.
Let's start at the beginning: the homepage.
No account required for anything in this episode. Every page covered here is fully public — open to any visitor at ntmgl.com without logging in.
The Home Page
When you land on ntmgl.com, the first thing you'll notice is that this isn't a placeholder or a coming-soon page. There's a real, active league running here. The homepage loads with live standings from the current season, upcoming match information, and the latest news — all visible immediately, no login required.
Right now in Season 2, the Open Division standings are front and center: the Bogey Knights and MIGHTYchondrians are tied at the top, the Dallas Pinseekers are sitting in third, and Slice & Dice are in fourth. The next matches are already posted with tee times and course locations. That information is live, updated automatically each week as matches are scored and finalized through the platform.
Below the standings you'll find four callouts that describe what makes the NTMGL different from a standard golf outing: team strategy, match play format, networking, and mobile scoring. These aren't marketing promises — they're the four features that players actually talk about after their first season.
The homepage also surfaces the latest news from the league — match recaps and announcements like the Fall Session registration opening — so even if you're not yet a player, you can follow what's happening week to week.
What's in the Navigation
The top navigation gives you access to everything the site offers. Here's a quick tour of what each section contains — and whether it requires an account:
The short version: almost everything is public. The only page that requires a login is GameDay — the live scoring interface — because it needs to know who you are to assign you to the right match. Everything else is open to any visitor.
Live Standings
The Standings page is one of the most useful places to get a feel for what competition in the NTMGL actually looks like. You can see every division, filter by season, and read the full standings for any active division at a glance.
The DFW Golf League currently has four divisions: Open (18+), Senior (50+), Legends (65+), and Veteran. In Season 2, the Open Division is the active one — but as the league grows and more players sign up, additional age divisions will fill in. Every division runs its own round-robin season and its own playoff bracket independently.
The standings table shows wins, losses, ties, win percentage, and points differential — the same format you'd recognize from any team sport. Points differential (total points won minus total points lost) is the tiebreaker when two teams have the same win percentage, so it matters all the way to the final week of the season.
The Match Schedule
The Schedule page shows every match in the season, organized by week. You can browse week by week or click "Full Schedule" to see everything at once. Each match entry shows the home team, away team, tee time, and course — and once a match has been played, the result is posted.
Clicking into any match detail shows the full matchup information: which players are expected to compete, the course address, and a weather forecast when the match is within a week. After the match is complete, you'll see the full scorecard breakdown, individual match results, and how each player's performance fed into the team's point total.
Check the Schedule page for the latest upcoming matches and tee times as they're posted each week. Matches are played on Saturdays and Sundays with tee times after 2:00 PM.
Player Stats & Leaderboard
This is where it gets genuinely interesting for a golfer considering joining. The Stats section shows that the NTMGL tracks far more than wins and losses. Every match produces individual statistics tracked across the full season for every player in the league — and all of it is publicly visible.

The Rules and User Manual
Two resources live under the More menu that are worth reading before you sign up.
The Rules page contains the complete official NTMGL rulebook — 15 sections covering the league structure, team composition, match format, the scoring system, player eligibility, match procedures, code of conduct, and everything in between. If you've never played match play before, Section 5 (Scoring System) and Section 9 (Match Procedures) are the two most important reads.
The User Manual is a step-by-step guide to using the platform itself — registration, the player dashboard, the mobile scoring system, viewing the schedule and standings, profile settings, and troubleshooting. Finding a League Near You
The Find a League page at ntmgl.com/Leagues is where you start if you want to play. Currently the DFW Golf League is the active league — based in Dallas, TX, with four divisions available. The page has state and region filters built in, so as new leagues launch in other cities, you'll be able to find them here.
If there isn't a league in your area yet, the bottom of the page has a direct prompt: "Want to Start a League in Your Area?" with a link to the Contact page. That's the path for anyone interested in becoming a league operator in a new market.
Two Ways Forward
At the top right of every page on the site, two buttons are always visible: Login and Register. Once you've browsed and you're ready to take the next step, here's what each one is for.
