Both Week 7 matches played out at Indian Creek Golf Club's Lakes Course on Sunday, June 28 — and the scorecards tell a story of two very different battles, one a runaway and one decided by the slimmest of margins.
Dallas Pinseekers 37 – Slice & Dice 35
The Pinseekers needed every point they could find to hold off a game Slice & Dice squad, escaping Indian Creek with a 37–35 win that came down to the final groups.
Dallas Pinseekers vs. Slice & Dice
- Sean Clark def. Brian Hackney, 12–6
- Chris Caballero def. Zack Young, 10.5–7.5
- Kevin Hull def. Dee Mauldin, 10.5–7.5
- Mark Repasy def. Shawn Lee, 13–5
Mark Repasy was the story of the day for Dallas, jumping out to a 4–0 lead through five holes against Shawn Lee and never letting up en route to a 13–5 win — 11 holes won, 4 halved, and just 3 lost. That performance earned him Top Performer for the match.
Repasy's front-nine surge set the tone, and the Pinseekers never trailed in that match from hole one.
Kevin Hull was nearly as dominant, racing to an 8–1 lead after nine holes against Dee Mauldin before closing out a 10.5–7.5 win. But the bottom of the lineup told the opposite story: Sean Clark steadily wore down Brian Hackney over the back nine, turning a tied match at the turn into a 12–6 result, and Chris Caballero pulled away from Zack Young down the stretch for a 10.5–7.5 win of his own. With two matches going each way at the top and two splitting at the bottom, Repasy's and Hull's margins were ultimately enough to get Dallas across the line.
Bogey Knights 38 – MIGHTYchondrians 34
Bogey Knights picked up a road win at Indian Creek, topping the MIGHTYchondrians 38–34 in a match that came right down to the final group.
MIGHTYchondrians vs. Bogey Knights
- Marc Bouvier def. Will Nash, 11–7
- Anthony “Ozzy” Osburn def. Brandon Jaquez, 10.5–7.5
- Jamal Miller def. Juan Gonzalez, 10.5–7.5
- Omar Palomarez halved with Kevin Easley, 9–9
Marc Bouvier delivered the match's Top Performer effort, building an early cushion and cruising to an 11–7 win over Will Nash. Jamal Miller did his part too, grinding through a tightly contested round with Juan Gonzalez — nine of their eighteen holes were halved — before edging away late for a 10.5–7.5 win.
Omar Palomarez and Kevin Easley staged the tightest battle of the week, trading the lead all day before settling for a 9–9 tie.
That Palomarez–Easley match was a true seesaw: Palomarez built an early 5–0 lead through five holes, only for Easley to claw all the way back and forge a deadlock by 17. The MIGHTYchondrians' best individual result of the day came at the very top, where Anthony “Ozzy” Osburn outlasted Brandon Jaquez in a match that saw seven of eighteen holes halved, eventually pulling away for a 10.5–7.5 win. But with the Bogey Knights taking three of the four matches, the MIGHTYchondrians couldn't make up the difference on the team scoreboard.
Both matches keep the league tight as it heads into Week 8.
